
With the vision of providing mentors and preparing students for the future job market; ImpactiNation introduced its maiden KNUST CASS Conference.
The KNUST CASS Conference which was held on September 3rd, 2022, at the Post Graduate Block E, KNUST School of Business, welcomed its guest speakers who spoke on the theme: “Raising Leaders Through The Agency of Mentorship and Soft Skill Enhancement.”
This conference welcomed Mr. Fred Mensah, an Entrepreneur; Dr. Evans Duah who is a Lecturer, Consultant, Entrepreneur, Speaker, Business Development, and Finance Expert; Mr. Nana Acheampong Kweku, a serial Entrepreneur and Financial Expert as guest speakers of the conference.
The conference commenced with the first speaker, Mr. Fred Mensah, who shared insight on mastering interviews and Curriculum Vitae (CV) writing. He explained the imperatives of tailoring one's CV to suit the kind of job one applies for. He highlighted the importance of researching the company that one has the intent and interest to work at as it enables individuals to ascertain relevant information to confidently answer questions during interview sessions as it demonstrates to interviewers how prepared, determined, and eager an individual appreciates the position applied for.
The second speaker, Dr. Evans Duah, shared with the participants his trademark hacks for life navigation. As students, he explained to them the importance of having mentors to guide their career path, the essence of networking, and keeping in contact. In his presentation, he said, “You need to see a bigger picture of your future. You need to think long term pertaining to your future.” One of Dr. Evans Duah’s key lessons shared was that everything you are doing today adds up to what people would perceive you in the future; do not underestimate the little moments.
In the last session of the conference, Mr. Nana Kweku Atta Acheampong shared with the participants the importance of working hard to make money and the habit of saving money wisely. Additionally, he explained that everything we put our minds to doing will surely reap rewards for the future. One quote he left that resonated with one’s aims and aspirations was, “Put in the work; be courageous; master that speciality, and you will get there.”
